bleeding ABS system
can anyone help me in understanding how to bleed the ABS system on my R2000RT-P. i have tried to bleed it at both wheels with no luck at all. do i need a special pump or something?.. Buddy Taylor. Florida
Re: bleeding ABS system
Buddy,
There are two separate circuits that you need to bleed with ABS bikes. The control circuit and the wheel circuit. It's not a difficult task, just time consuming. Unlike with non-ABS bikes, you'll need to take the tank off.
Anyway, read through the following pdf that will step you through the process and if you have any questions, let us know.

Also the following two links will help explain the process.

Re: bleeding ABS system
If its an R1100 series bike they can be bled individually from each wheel caliper
ABS included.
If its an R1150 onwards & ABS they cant, and qualifications to meet the Mechanical
Engineers Institute will be a handy asset.
