Fallert fairing

I have been looking for a fairing for my RR and think I want a Fallert. Where can I get one? Are they as effective, as they are good looking? II'm 5'9" and don't like the sport or the speedster BMW shields as they but bugs in my face.

Do a search here on the board for Fallert. A group of us were looking for them before and could not come up with a dealer here in US. The company said that due to liability and law suits in the US they wont sell here. Have to have someone else in anther country buy it and once they get it, they can send it to you. That was the route I was looking at but the cost stopped that idea.

I went over to the Fallert website to look at the fairing for the R at http://www.fallert.com/index2.html. I think it looks really really nice, and I'm not a big of fairings at all. Price btw is upon request.

If someone from this board totally has the hots for one but can't get it send to the US, let me know and I'll try to find out what else we can arrange. I'm in Germany typically three times a year, next in mid-February.

This was on the machine when I bought it.
Side view is pretty good.
Head view looks pretty goofy to me.

The headlight moves out several inches with this one and wobbles up and down a LOT which annoyed me at first, then I realized that it functions almost as a modulator. I am concerned about premature bulb or electrical issues.

I agree: the frontal view is a bit odd. I wonder what the thinking behind that was. Is that pouting lip at the bottom of the headlight a functional or a design feature - perhaps to get to a specific silhouette?

Too bad they goofed up on the headlight brackets. How are satisfied are you overall, and how is the wind protection?

It seems to flow with the bike. Just not much wind protection.

I have a Fallert fairing as well. It looks great but the I'd say the wind protection is nil. I'm 5'10 and the air hits me at chest level. There's enough pressure to tug my helmet around. I love the looks of the thing, but took it off to rethink the windsceen. I think if I had a taller screen made it would give me the protection I want. Or a different shape. Something to divert the air over my head. I bought mine used. I don't think you'll have any luck buying a new one. For far less money the Givi looks pretty good and probably works better.

I have the parabellum scout in the tallest. It is the best I have tried, and I am keeping it on the RR.

I have a new in box unpainted, unmounted Fallert fairing with the brackets, bolts and MRA windscreen. I had a friend in Germany get it for me back in '06. I think it is the nicest looking front fairing for the R1150R. I have decided to sell it. I like the setup on my bike now, and am afraid I won't like the air flow if I switch out the current touring wind screen. If anyone here knows of someone interested please PM.
