Internet Fraud .. word of caution

Just want to share my experience with you. I posted ads in IBMWR and in Flea Mart for parts wanted and I received at least 4 replies with claim of parts availability and seeking payment. The emails go like these:

Hello, I am Jeffery Anderson, I saw your Ad that is why I am writing to see if you are still interested in it. Let me know if you are still interested as I will be looking forward to hear from you.

A while back I was looking for a bike for my friend.
The Nigerian user was telling me that hi is in London and as soon as he receives the Money Via Western Union, he will be able to send me the bike with 1 month warranty. I even got the pic's of the bike including pic with the VIN number. When I checked the IP address, I knew what I was dealing with. After we agreed on the price I waited for a day and the guy was getting impatient. I did play a little with him and then started with bogus 10 digits number for the Western Union check.
Well. I had fun for a couple of days.

Here are the samples of the numbers: 009-378-2459 or 009-160-7397
When he comes back to you complaining about bad number, give him the same number but switch last 2 digits.
Do it as much as you can stretch the fun.
