Aw crap.
I just bought a 15" MBP and I assumed there would be plenty of room in the BMW side luggage.

The lesson as always, never assume....

Good to know it fits, if just barely.
Frustrating to imagine all the wasted space though...

I would like a set of city lids just for the looks. That said, I would miss the capacity for holding my helmet, and I am not sure I would be able to fit 10 days x 2 people's worth of back-packing food in smaller cases. I agree that the internal shape is really awkward, and a problem no matter what size the lids.

For city use in term of safety and space nothing beat some nicely designed and not too bulky soft side luggage and a large top case in rear. (Riders can eventually stiffen the inside of those SOFT luggage with properly bended sheets of aluminum )

For long road outside the city... the largest as possible BMW side case will be welcome as there is plenty of space in the middle of the desert or in the German black forest.

Readers ! on this thread Feel free to drop any links related to smartly designed Soft Side Luggage... =D>
