Not an owner yet but looking into every detail.
Rode a demo but it had no centre (center) stand.
If it has one, does it help to have the Pannier Case Mounting Kit (rail) for something to grab onto with your right hand when you lift the bike up onto the stand?
Or is there another obvious place?
On my F800 I have the rear rack and it works well as a grab rail and a hand hold for the centre stand.

Re: Up on the Centre Stand
My old K100RS had a fold out handle but my R1150R and now the R1200R have nothin'.
I just use the part of the frame that carries the pillion footpeg/lower pannier mount as a handle. It feels a bit low at first but becomes 2nd nature with practice.
Really, the key is to put as much weight as possible on the centre-stand "pedal" with the ball of your foot. If you get that right almost any rearward movement gets it up there.

Re: Up on the Centre Stand
I grab the same spot as Tom does, but I'm lucky - I weigh enough
that when I stand on the "pedal" it pops onto the stand without a hitch.

Re: Up on the Centre Stand
I also use the location Tom mentioned. I am only 130 lbs and have no trouble getting it up on the centerstand, even with the saddlebags installed. Get your weight on the stand and just a gentle tug brings it up.
Re: Up on the Centre Stand
Really easy once you get the feel. If fact of the three bikes I have, it is by a long shot the easiest to get on the center stand.
First I push down on the center stand foot petal, holding the frame with my right hand and the handle bar with my left. Once I feel both feet of the center stand make solid contact with the pavement, I just stand on the center stand petal. Presto, she just pops up like magic.
Hey, wait, there was a whole thread on this subject. Here it is:

Good luck, have fun, bye for now.
