Aeroflow advice

I've been looking for something to provide a little more protection than I get from the BMW Sport Screen and am considering one of the Aeroflow Screens. I've gotten some good feeback from members of this board about Aeroflow (thanks particularly to DuckDave) and am pretty well convinced that their screens are the way to go. I can't make make up my mind between the Touring and Sport versions though.

I'm not looking to make the Roadster into an RT but I would like to isolate myself from the elements a somewhat more than is the case with my Sport Screen. My worry is that the Aeroflow Sport will provide only marginally more protection than I now have. On the other hand, I wonder if the Touring will be too much coverage, especially in the summer.

I understand that to a large extent, this has to be a personal choice. Any feeback or suggestions are appreciated though.

BTW, all of the Aeroflow products are on sale this month, so if you're thinking about buying, this would be a good time.

I have a Touring screen on my R and it works very well. When I got the bike I tried a National screen (had to jury-rig the mounts) then a BMW touring screen (lots of buffeting and noise) and then got the Aeroflow. I have the "Aerogards" also that deflect airflow around the legs.
I am 5'10" : the standard height works fine for me.
A quality product IMO.

I have the Touring Half Fairing with the Tall shield, but sometimes wish I had gotten the Standard Screen (2" shorter). I'm just shy of 6'. Not for any problems with the larger screen---it's remarkably free of buffeting and noise. But sometimes on long rides I find myself slumping down below the screen top and would prefer a clear view, and I suspect the Standard screen would satisfy my needs and solve that problem. I'm seriously considering adding the Standard w/s to my stable of screens, but I like to spend my money slowly so it is on my list of very future purchases right now.

Last summer I switched out my aeroflow for the miniscreen that came with the bike for 'round-town use. I'll probably do that again this summer. The aeroflow blocks too much wind in summer. OTOH, I'd probably stick the aeroflow back on for any long distance touring. There's lots of bugs 'round here in summer and I like the idea of having something to hide behind when various roadhazards (car and truck parts, falling ladders, road 'gaters, birds and bats) fly my way. So far, such protection is theoretical, as I've managed to avoid such hazards altogether with luck (knock wood). Still the illusion of protection is comforting.

I have an AeroFlow Touring screen "TALL" with the tank wings. I started with the BMW Sports screen, then BMW Touring screen and I think that the AeroFlow screen is the best. I am 5'11" and the screen is great for me. Read the testimonials at the AeroFlow web site. One of the testimonials is mine. I paid full retail price for the screen and have no association with an AeroFlow company. They are just a good company with a very well made product. Give them a call. They are very helpful on the phone.
