Nay, different hemisphere, we share the same planet.Geez, you yanks are on your own planet sometimes
But our hemisphere has some fauna, like the good Dr. has humourously (spelled just for you!) pointed out, that think we are edible. I took a shotgun to Alaska with me to turn the table, so to speak. While bear repellant spray is supposed to work, you'd have to be too close to use it.
We spent the first night in a Canadian Rockies campground called Marble Canyon which was a beautiful place with an honor system payment plan. All very civilized appearing until I pulled a pamphlet from the pay box with the campground map that had on it's backflap instructions titled," WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU SEE A BEAR!" Not "IF", mind you. I decided that WHEN I see a bear, I will be armed!
And yes, we did see bear (several) but far enough off so as not to be a concern. They didn't bother me, and I didn't bother them.
We both adhered to the Golden Rule.
