Top man ChiTown, that's a ballsy move - well done! I'm watching this with interest, as I love that white show (snow?) bike.

Look forward to hearing how this pans out.

I as a matter of fact I have. I'm in start of a 2 week trip and happened to get internet service at the campground tonight.
Here's what was in my inbox:

Hello,

the fairing is ready and in production now.
The price for the unpainted fairing R 1200 R is EUR 343,10 plus shipping.
Please send us a short note if we should deliver.
Thank you very much in advance.

With best regards

According to my currency calculator, that's about $462.00

Looks like I'll have a BMW Touring screen for sale soon, maybe... :)

I like the Wudo better than any of the others I've seen. The price is less than the Parabellum so what's the problem?

Anyone bought this yet? I received an email from Wudo yesterday with pricing. According to my Euro conversion, the painted version will cost $667. Not sure that the shipping costs will be.

I am curious if anyone has purchased one, what it cost to ship to the US, and whether is works as well as it looks. If anyone purchased a black one, I would love to see a photo.

Thanks.

Fairing !

Post by Phillo »

Im with you BCC - I have the little mini windshield which came with the bike and for me that works fine up to around 140/150 km/h apart from which if I get caught at that speed I will not be a happy chappy as a Zero Tolerance attitude has been in force here for some time so the only time I can really let loose is on roads that I know are free of speedtraps.

I went riding this weekend with a friend who was on an R90S; Daytona Orange and it put me to thinking about the Wudo ( or is it Wunderlich )R1200R that is the same color AND has the cool bikini fairing. I would just love to have that set up on my bike. The guy on the R90S races and is a pretty good rider. I was very happy to be in tune enough to keep up with him on some VERY nice north Carolina twisties. I had a wonderfull weekend of riding.

Great looking bike. I would say that the paint scheme should be easy to duplicate, but that fairing has to go......maybe it is a candidate for the dual lights like the Triumph Triple, with a proper fairing......

Since there's no one who has it yet, why don't all you guys just paypal me a donation, and I'll buy it and give it a proper, thorough review. 10 people @ $50 each.... much cheaper than buying it and finding out it sucks.... :D My main concern is it's tour-ability...
Anytime I think about buying it, I opt to take a trip instead, a 10 day trip costs about the same for me as the fairing.... but I still think it looks fabulous and will buy one someday... =P~
