Your query is vague. Which switch do you refer to? Is the switch working fine or the headlamp? The headlamp may just be burned out on the high beam.

The white/yellow wire comes from the light relay and goes to the right and left multifunction switches, although apparently on the US models there is no switch on the right side. The wire just circles back around and becomes green/green to the fuse block.

These wiring diagrams are not easy to decipher.:-)

Sorry,

I disassembled the Light Switch (left) and discovered that there was no Current on the White Yellow cable. The momentary switch position (white) is working but the upper switch position not. By the way it was not a easy task to disassemble this "gismo". I think you already answered my question.
Just wanted to know where the yellow/white cable is coming from so I can trace the problem.

Thanks

The white/yellow cable is cut somewhere in between handle bar switch and relay box. Do you have any additional suggestion or idea how to fix this problem other than running a new cable to the handle bar ???

Thanks

I'd suggest looking in the area where the wire goes around the side of the headpost (under and in front of the tank) for chafing or damage that may have been caused by an overtightened cable tie. Or look where the wires go up over the headlight bracket on their way to the left handlebar switch for a break there. If you discover where the break is, a self-sealing butt connector might be a good way to fix it. They are available at West Marine in various wire gauge sizes (the blue ones will probably fit that wire) and have a thermal adhesive coating inside the insulator that melts to the wire insulation with a heat gun after crimping it onto the wire ends. They make a watertight seal that works even submerged in bilges!

Thanks you very much.
The Cable got broke right where the harness makes the turn ahead of the tank under side. The cable tie was slicing the outer rubber lining open.

Again thanks.

one more question:
How to change the "spline lub" I can not find it any where in the Repair Manual.

I should have remembered that problem myself at first. That is a common problem with the wire ties under there.
Let this be an additional reminder to everyone to change out those wire ties and make them looser!
