Tail Light remains on after hard breaking or prolonged trips

My 02 R1150R's tail light will remains on throughout after a hard breaking or prolonged trip. After turning ignition to off and on again, the light will be reset.

I have complained abt this to my dealer during servicing and it seemed that the fault cannot be duplicated. Anyone with the same prob and solutions?

With or w/o ABS?

I have a non-ABS, and my bike did that after I got it repaired from my crash.

The front brake lever was replaced, and there was an adjustment that had to be made.

Mine's ABS....replacing Brake levers? Hmm............

it turned out to be the micro switch that is in the front brake lever. A cheap part. If it happens to you again, pull the little cover under the brake lever and pull the switch off. mine just needed to be adjusted a little bit and when I put it all back together it was fine.
