How LOW is the Low seat?

Post by Bruce_Almighty »

Just curious. A coworker is looking for a bike for his bride. She's vertically challenged. I read that the seat height for a stock R1150R is 30.3", is this the LOW height? Or, does it get lower with the LOW seat? Thanks in advance.

I believe they came with the low seat and the optional high one is about 1 inch taller. That's the case for my 02 anyway.

I bought my '04 1150R from a young lady who I would guess was about 5' 5" tall. She had the "low" seat and seemed fine on it. I bought the "high" seat and it's perfect for me at 5" 11" with a 32 " inseam. Your friend needs to sit on one to be sure. It's a lot of bike if it is her first bike.

Thanks for the info! Kind of what I thought. Will the tall seat work with the standard rear pillion seat?
