Re: I like these lights but, what are they?

Indeed they are PIAA 1000X lights . I have the same setup but can't remember where I got the mounts. I think they were RCU
They light up the road nicely!

I have GS hand guards installed on mine and find I am turning the grips down to the first position after riding a few miles. Plenty of heat.
I seem to remember the heated grips being useless when I didn't have the hand guards on and the temp was cold

I once had an apartment with a canoe in the living room for a couch (lots of blankets used!) and an old cable spool for a table. Concrete blocks and scrap boards served to house the stereo system. * The bedroom was a mattress on the floor and sheets over the windows! Ah . . . the good old days! :lo...

When I spent the last few winters there, I used to frequent a Shell Oil Change
facility on Hwy 98 North - I would recommend them. They also did a really good car wash there

Just curious, Michael:
Were there any indications (noise wise) before you inspected the rear?

I think there is an updated bearing available that has fewer balls...from 19 to 17 balls

I also have an '02 and go through less than a liter every 1000 kms
Sometimes the oil consumption is less, sometimes more

I think some R's use less than mines does, but I am constantly checking it pre ride

Florida: God's waiting room... I winter in Lakeland and have to ride the straights about 50 miles north into Lake county to get into any twisty roads. Have to put on ME880's for the winter as the Z6's flatten out from riding locally. I have managed to overlook the lack of good roads because there's ...

Mine came with Dunlop 207's- didnt last long, but had good performance Then I tried Z6's and they lasted 11000 miles before the rear squared off from riding the roads in Florida. I now have Pilot Roads on (6,000 miles so far) A little noisier than the previous tires, but it looks like they will last...
