I have the same problem so I kept my R for close in fast riding and bought an RT for long distance travel. Best of both worlds IMHO.

I had the fix done according to the service bulletin above. Didn't help much. I'm going to try a set of after market brake pads when I get around to it. I've gotten pretty good at modulating the front brake to where I get minimal squeal now. No abs.

Finally got to my dealer and they swear they haven't heard even one complaint about brake noise (squeal) from the KR or KS owners. I find that hard to believe. Anyway, handed over the service bulletin copy and they were dumbfounded, claimed they never saw it before and that they have read all the se...

I've never liked inline four engines and that's a personal thing. The KR was quite a visual machine and I was very excited for BMW to come out with a bike that goes as fast as it looks (love my Rock but it ain't too fast - another 40-hp and she'd be sweet). However when I had the chance to test rid...

Just got my KR back from first service and had told the tech rep about the squealing brakes. Of course when I picked it up yesterday the brakes still squealed. Tech said the brakes checked out fine etc. Can someone post the number/date/title of the service bulletin so I can inform my nearby stealer....

Thanks for the post ew. The engine guards and centerstand are enticing. Does anyone happen to know the price of the BMW centerstand? BMW centerstand and install kit is $140 from Chicago BMW from what I understand. Someone ought to let Twisted Throttle know that BMW's don't have chains. This cut fro...

The exhaust for the power cup bikes are exclusive to the bikes running the series. They run stubby versions of the Laser HotCam not available to you and I schmucks on the street. I don't think I'd want to either. I wouldn't want to announce my every move and constantly listen to the howl they produc...
