Bmw Windshields
I purchased a 2009 r1200r in late August and absolutely love it. The bike came with bags and a Cee Bailey's 20 or 22 inch windshield. I only managed one longer ride about 5 hours in total with no windshield and felt like a wanted some wind protection. The problem with my Cee Bailey touring screen is...

New Addition
Just picked up a 1999 Kawaski ZX6R for $1900. At this time of year it was too good to pass up. It will go nicely with my 2009 R1200R that i purchased in August. it gives me a chance to go for a Sportbike blast whenever i want a change. i just think of it as a poor man's BMW S1000RR. At this price ho...

Front Wheel Vibration ?
I have have spent two weeks riding around on my new to me R1200r and absolutely love the bike. I have a 2009 (Blue ) 15 000 Kms with the low seat and low frame. I noticed right away from my demo ride that the front end / front wheel didn't quite feel right to me. It felt like there was a slight rubb...

Proud R1200R Owner
I bought a 2009 Blue R1200R today. I traded in my 2009 Yamaha Fz6r and with my trade in the Bike cost me $ 8000. ( taxes in ) The dealership included a brand new low seat from a showroom bike as the bike came with the regular seat. Real cost of bike probably around $12 500 Canadian. The bike retails...

Is this a good buy
I came across a 2009 R1200R at a dealership in the greater Vancouver Area ( Canada ) The bike has 15000kms and comes equipped with Bmw side cases, a tall windshield, handlebar risers, centerstand, and Sw Motech crash bars. The bike has abs and traction control as well. I am not crazy about the look ...

Re: If you had to get rid of your R1200R
[quote="Caroanbill"]The R1200R killed my bike lust. Sad, isn't it. It just suits me so well .. shaft, brakes, telelever (and sport/touring suspension generally), luggage, great weight (neither too light for touring nor too heavy for fun), great power (again, not too much but more than enou...

Re: Photo of R1200R Lowered suspension.
Thanks again for the photos guys. I noticed the center stand on the low frame, low seat model and want to know if it has been modified. Generally speaking BMW doesn't offer a center stand on their lowest seat heights. I had a Suzuki Vstrom 650 lowered and when I bought the center stand for the bike ...

Re: Photo of R1200R Lowered suspension.
Thanks for the reply and photo. My preferred color choice for my r1200r is black. Now I only have to decide between the black or black with white stripe. I don't know why but I am leaning towards black with white stripe.

A few days of surfing this site ( with the occasional post ) has confirmed for me my desire to enter back into BMW motorcycle community. Owned previously an 850r ( loved it ) an 1150 r too big, too tall, sold it right away. As was mentioned in a previous post....the R1200r low seat option, plus lowe...

Re: My R1200R is no more...
Sorry about your mishap....glad you are ok. I hope this is not an inappropriate time to ask about your bike. My apologies in advance if it's a bad time to ask....but.......I am considering buying a r1200r with the low seat low frame and have never seen one at a dealer yet. I noticed from the photos ...

Re: R1200R
Thanks for the replies and info....Is their a difference between a Hyperpro shock and the Hypermoto shock. Are they the same or is one a BMW specific brand. It's probably easier to find a r1200r with a low seat and then lower with a aftermarket shock , then trying to find a low seat low frame bike.

R1200R
Hi, I am thinking about purchasing a R1200R. I owned a 1996 R850R a few years back and enjoyed it. The bike had a pretty low seat height and with the seat in the lowest of 3 positions and a shaved seat the bike was very manageable for me. I loved the boxer engine. I am only 5" 4" tall with...

2002 r1150r questions (new owner)
I just bought a 2002 r1150r that I pick up on Tuesday. It has 40,000kms, has abs, bmw bags, heated grips and cost me $ 7800. CDN...hopefully this was a fair price...the bike has new tires and all service records but may be due for a major service soon...( valves ?) It's my second BMW and I am very e...
