Guess I ought to wrap this thread up. I bought a 2000 Triumph Tiger to use as my 2-up, sport-touring adventure bike instead of this R bike.

Just to put a conclusion on this thread, just last week I purchased a 2000 model triumph tiger with centerstand, triumph's "off road" pipe, hard triumph sidecases, thunderbike crashbars and a corbin seat. I haven't gotten a lot of seat time on it due to the 20F temperatures lately! I think...

Hey all, trying to decide between 1150 and 1100. I am mainly concerned with comfort instead of power differences. I have never sat on a 1150, but have borrowed a R1100r for a weekend and found the ergonomics very comfortable. Of course I had rather buy newer if older. So do any of you have firsthand...

I am looking at a bike with 2 damaged valve cover/cylinder head covers. As far as replacement, do all the 1100 series motors use the same covers? If I find used GS or RT covers will they fit? Thanks.

It is factory paint, I had just not seen any like it.

Any of you R1100r experts ever seen two tone paint on the fuel tank or are there some knee pads available that would give this bike the look it has on the tank? My problem for now is being able to keep the triple and get the boxer. I would love to get the boxer for the 2-up and leisure riding, but money, garage space, you know the deal prevent that.
