Re: May be about to buy an 02 R1150R
I've got an '02 R1150R with 30,000 miles and nothing but good service. No issues, all services are realitively easy with the noted exception of the gas filter. The way I look at final drive / spline issues is that up this point I have not had any costs for chain and sprocket replacement and when and...

Re: Shoei RF1100 review!!!
Just got my RF1100 from helmet city. Free two day shipping and no tax. My first premium grade helmet, also. Vents do work exceptionally well, it gets hot down here in Alabama. The size ran true based on my other helmets. A feature that I really like is a tab on the side of the shield that in the rea...

Re: New windshield
Thanks, I decided that I will go with the Cee Baileys. It looked like the Parabellum used a different bracket, so that would be three sets for me, I've got the low one for the bikini and the four curly cues for the touring. I decided to just go with the short shield (19.5) because I definitely want ...

New windshield
Has any one tried the 22 Domed windshield from Cee Baileys? I need to replace my factory touring shield. (Never try to remove the protective coating on a polycarbonate shield with carburetor cleaner, by the way.) Baileys listes the 19.5 EURO as being 3 inches taller than the sport shield and it ment...

Re: New Member - New R1150R owner - Nervous as hell !!
25,000 on a 2002 without any problems. Still have plastic QD with no leakage. Only complaint is that it goes through Z6s about every 6,000 miles. I change the fluid in the differential and the trans every spring, so far so good in those areas.

Re: Valves and spark plugs
One of the posts says that carbon will get between the valve and the valve seat when you remove the plugs and give you an inaccurate valve clearance reading. I have felt of carbon and I am familar with valve springs and I feel that it would just be crushed. But for my last adjustment I played it saf...

Re: timing plug - I cry uncle
I use a needle to thread some high test fishing line into the plug in a way that leaves a "u" shape on the back side of the plug that is going into the housing. I then tie both ends of the line to the bike somewhere so I can pull it back out if the plug falls inside or down beside the cyli...
