Chris, I can't get the tyre from between the swingarm and the silencer without removing the silencer as the tyre is too wide. I've tried moving the wheel to all angles. Wheel removal on my KTM 525exc is a breeze... I 've had plenty of practise. Almost 5k miles in two years equates to more back tyres...

Taking off the back wheel is a pain in the ar5e! I thought that having a single sided swingarm would make it a simple chore. Removing the brake caliper is acceptable but taking off the silencer is odd. Looking on the bright side though... on replacement, no messing about centralising the wheel or se...

Does anyone have this unit fitted please?

Surging is a problem on my bike. At about 3k rpm when holding a constant speed, the bike surges or rocks back and forth on the throttle. I have tried different spark plugs, carb balance etc.
For the sake of a few euros, this eBay item may be worth a try just to see if it would elliminate the surge?

Dizzy, If you are considering a bike like the Tuono then also consider the KTM 990 Superduke, the KTM 990 Adventure or if you like an entertaining ride, the KTM 950 Supermoto. They have them as demos at my local dealer and I am more than tempted to swap my R1150R. Trouble is; too much choice and not...
