You most likely can't remove outer covering anyway, as they slide this on, then install the plug end. Just carefully cut the covering, then wrap it up in tape after the repair. The BBS don't keep the butterflies open, that is an external stop screw on each throttle body that does that (don't adjust these!). The BBS are an air adjust screw, more air= faster idle. They control the air the motor runs on before the butterflies open and take over. Just like the idle air control...

I've got Michelin Pilot Road tires (single compound) on my bike. They exibit a mold mark or "seam" on both the front and back tires that goes all the way around the tire. I've seen it many times, but only on Michelins as far as I can remember-nothing to worry about.

Oxygen sensor perhaps? It will sure cause a car to do some of the things you mentioned.

One last post. Apparently it was the cheap digital multimeter I was using. Got ahold of a nice analog (meter) unit and am able to check battery voltage with out the fuse blowing! I file 13'd the digital multimeter! Thanks!
