Do you still have your cases? If so, I'd like to have them. Thanks.Hawkman wrote:You can have mine for $300 (plus shipping). I got them and they are great, but I never use them because I use a tailbag. PM if you want photos.

Re: Starter/Solenoid/Relay assessment
I ride a 2004 1150R with just over 10K miles. I had the identical problem last spring while on a solo ride 275 miles from home and 9K on my odometer. My symptoms included one or two good cranks and, if no start, the solenoid click. I immediately assumed that it was a dead battery. Jump starting work...

Motorcycle Trailer
Do any of you have any first or second hand experience with the Portachopper motorcycle trailer for hauling your R around?

Re: Anyone ever have the starter/Bendix give out?
I have a 2004 1150 R with 8700 miles. I was on a road trip about two weeks ago when I started having what I thought were symptoms of a bad battery. The starter would click continuously when I hit the starter switch. Had to push start the bike several times to get going (not too hard on the Blue Ridg...

Really Dumb Move
I pulled a really dumb move last week and thought I'd report on it to you all so you don't make the same mistake. I live in the Middle Atlantic and had parked my 2004 R1150R in my driveway as I endured a spate of rain and a head cold which ruined several weekend in a row. I was finally healthy 2 wee...

Re: grip heaters and such
Does the grip heater turn off when the key is off? When the engine is off? Can you run down the battery by leaving the heater switch on?

Re: Brake pedal height adjustment?
I really need advice on this as well. I lowered the pegs and ended up with the brake lever higher than the peg. I have to lift my foot in order to use the brake. There's no such thing as a gentle brake on or brake off. As a consequence I use the hand lever exclusively. I fear that one of these days ...
