Re: R1200R reliability
I had an EWS failure in June, four weeks after buying my 2008 R1200R. My condo neighbor bought his F800S a week after I bought my bike and had an EWS failure around the same time as mine. Outstanding instantaneous dealer response for both of us (Gateway BMW in St. Louis). Bad show by BMW in my opini...

Re: R1200R Tank Bags
I was happy with my BMW tank bag until I followed the link to the RKA bag. That visible organizer would be a nice improvement. This was my first tank bag and I just figured that "black hole" was the way it had to be. Don, if you are following the thread, is the rear attachment system for t...

Re: BMW Importer address??
The general importer is BMW of North America LLC, 300 Chestnut Ridge Rd, Woodcliff Lake NJ 07675. If you are looking for an independent certified importer to import a non-conforming bike and bring it into compliance with US requirements, this snippet from http://www.bmwmotorcycles.com might help: &q...

Re: Need Seat advice
My bike had the low seat when I bought it and drove it home. Gateway BMW swapped it for the high a week later--with a smile and no charge. Mighty fine dealer.
