Pilot Roads
Had Bridgestones (BT020). Switched to Pilot Roads. These tires are great so far. Mileage is gonna be ok. Good in the twisties. Never experienced any sliding or anything (had that every now and then with the Bridgestones) so very confidence inspiring. Also very good in the rain... I have no experienc...

Pilot Roads
Got Pilot Roads now, because my local BMW specialist (not a dealer) recommended them and I trust their opinion, and really like them so far. Back tire has about 2000 km, front has 4000 on it. First tires on my R where Bridgestones. These Pilot Roads give even more confidence. I've been riding in rai...

R850R
I tried to reply, but instead created another topic... But this is what I wrote: I had a R850R, in the former style (R1100R alike). I reallly liked it, it was essentially the same as the R1100R. It only ran somewhat higher in revs on the highway. In a lot of magazines it got tested quite well, and t...

What Andy says...
What does a liter of fuel cost in the US? Over here it's 1.30 euros a liter (cheapest, 95 RON). A euro is about 1.30 USD if I remember correctly. That is 1.69 USD/liter. Quite expensive. Riding my bike is by far more expensive by km compared to my car. It needs more maintenance (every 10,000 km comp...
