Re: Show Us Your Ride - Riders Photo Gallery

Taken today.. a pre-spring ride (nice temps, almost 40F, but very high winds - 35-50mph gusts..) to celebrate the first day of Daylight Saving Time....Finally wandered back south to Brielle, where nothing was also happening, or not. Funny how a getting a head start on riding season can feel nice de...

Re: R12R Saddlebags

Painted lids look much better - especially with a good background http://picasaweb.google.com.au/billstanhope/GeehiRun/photo#5125064948560654466 What did that run you for the panniers? How much more for the top case? Hands down, having the bags painted looks much better than factory black when atta...

Re: Cool Tent Concept, but.........

I really like the idea of this tent-cot, but it needs to be redesigned so that the bars don't run underneath you. Imagine how that would feel across your back? http://www.kamprite.com/assets/us/products_double_00_large.jpg The folding "technology" is old - taken from old folding lawn furni...

Re: Show Us Your Ride - Riders Photo Gallery

sweet ride! great pics, too. and those s-curves look so inviting! i don't care much for tank bags either because they ultimately scratch the tank. 2 r12r's? why stop at 2? once ducati came out with the paul smart retro-styled bikes, i had hoped bmw would do the same and the r90s seemed lik...

Re: R12R Saddlebags

One thing I like is that the saddlebags for the R1200R are not painted. The first bags for the R11RS were gloss black, which I thought was goofy. I've gotten used to the textured black on later oilheads, and I notice that the ones for the 12R are satin black. That's interesting because I prefer the...

Re: Show Us Your Ride - Riders Photo Gallery

ChiTown, Well, that pretty much covers it! That's just about every road in America. Those are some serious miles. I'm in awe! What a way to kick off this thread. Thank you! Nice K bike, are you keeping it and adding a R, or trading it in? To answer your question, I wish I could say I will be...

Re: Colorado question

jarobi, twinquad is correct. mountains are west of denver and there are none between the two points. if it does happen to snow in the city, it is not likely to stick for more than a day. i ride year round in denver/aurora, with exception for a few days a year without any concerns. i'd be more concer...

Show Us Your Ride - Riders Photo Gallery

Hello, I'm new to the forum, but have been lurking for some time. I've found lots of useful information, but the images are sparse. I am surprised (and disappointed) that there isn't a thread dedicated to photographs of our bikes here on the forum. Sadly, googling "R1200R" doesn't result i...
