Re: R1150R Year differences (newbie)
The year Rockster came seems to vary, mine is 2003, and is bought in Sweden! Or does BMW change model year at summer? 2003 to 2004 all 1150 engines had double ignition, look at the cylinder heads for the difference! The double ignition made the engine go smoother and use less fuel, but didn't give a...

The servo buzz is cool!
That's the first thing you show to a non-BMW motorcyclist when you should tell them why a BMW is better than a jap in every way

Re: Broken Rockster, need parts
If you need a new front fender, look at Wunderlich, they have a much nicer carbon fibre fender for 2/3 of BMWs price! And I mean much nicer! The oiginal looks lika crap and feels like a toy compared to it! I think it is 199€... There is often Rockster parts on Ebay, the light holders is there ...

Re: Differance between Rokster & R1150R
The carbon fibre front fender sells has the same number as for S, and I don't think the length of a M4 bolt should be considered as a majour differance

Re: Differance between Rokster & R1150R
seeing the Rockster has a GS frame, I suppose changing it to a GS is possible. My bike handles good dirt roads quite well and I feel the tyres are the only limitation (and maybe the weight). I am missing out on some good dirt rides now that i have sold my old GS and am considering just changing the...

Re: Differance between Rokster & R1150R
MikeCam: You wrote that R11S has three paralever arms, wich lengths are they?
And wich are the two available with the Roadster?
Honestly, all I knew was that Roadster/Rockster and R11S had 385, and R11S boxer cup had the GS 365 mm ...
Maybe different countries? I'm in Gothenburg, Sweden...

Re: Differance between Rokster & R1150R
Is it the paralever strut you call paralever arm in your list? Both Roadster and Rockster has 385 mm paralever strut, the GS has 365 mm! And I don't believe that Rockster and 1100S share suspension, the 1100S has pretension(?) in the front set with a wheel through the tank, Rockster has pretension o...
