Re: What drives you?

Thank you all. I am intrigued that a feeling of being independent, freedom as some of you describe it, is number one, with locations number two. Nothing seems to beat just being there. I am not surprised, however, that being with friends also scored well, better than in any other forum of which I've...

What drives you?

I have a reason to ask this that I might share in the future, but I'd love to know what drives you to be a biker, and what keeps you interested.

Cheers to all. Still missing my 1150R but my CB1300 is doing a good job of keeping me cheered up.

All you need to to do now is meet Ray Peake who lives out near Canungra. I'm a former 1150R owner in Brisbane and I can put you in touch with him. He's the best and most honest spannerman on BMWs you'll find anywhere. Contact me at bumblebeeman1150 (at) hotmail.com if I can be of any help. I had min...

Thanks

Thanks for the tips. Roads I got... hundreds of 'em, all around the world, and if we did this for 50 years I couldn't cover them all. But we'll do as many as we can! What we need now are local eyes and experiences to help develop shooting schedules. I don't expect people to be out of pocket to do th...

San Francisco riders (other places too)?

If it's not inappropriate to post this request here, I'm keen to hear from any Bay area riders who might be able to give me some local advice about filming a bike journey in your part of the world. This is a genuine television project that should take mainstream motorcycling into a whole lot of home...

The old trick used to be to paint a clear bulb with red nail polish. Should still work.

Cheers,

Mr Sheen... meet Lemon Pledge

Hi, Just lurking, having been without my beloved R for some months now (damned tax assessment forced her sale...). I'm in severe withdrawal! Mr Sheen is a light silicone-based spray polish, so you might substitute Lemon Pledge or similar. It's not as slippery as Armor-all, which is dangerous o...

eet's a Montesa Crono 350, circa 1975? That engine has GOT to be a Montesa :? BBM On the other hand, now that I think on it more I'm now not at all sure that it is! But maybe something that used a Montesa engine and was sold under a US brand? I can't shake that I think the engine is a Monty. I'm sur...
