+1 on the crampbuster. I never ride without it. The angle is easily adjusted as it rotates clockwise. I also bought one for the laft side as it offers an additional support for my left arm as well.

I used these directions to install mine on my 2004 r1150r. The installation was not very difficult and I used a razor instead of a dremel to make room for the cables. It cuts the wind and I love the look.

That is exactly what is supposed to happen. It turns off when you reach 2-3 mph. If that sequence you described changes, then you have a problem.

Well I tried but found it hard to get to the rev limiter in 4th as the speed is 90+. It seemed a bit risky to continue as I was riding on Labor Day weekend and spotted the police monitoring traffic, so I backed off. But, all seemed well up to 7,000 rpms.
