Update, I bought a "stock" front shock on eBay, and put it on the other day. Once I figured out where all the screws were it was pretty easy. Anyway the bike rides like a dream once again. Im loving it!!

Just a follow up question, has no one put stock shocks back on?

I have a black beak, like new, I took off my 2002, I could sell you for cheap if you want. I replaced it with another model fender, more to my liking. Let me know.

Ever since I started this, I have absolutely zero nut pain and love this bike more and more.

I know this can't be related but I have to ask about the uncanny coincidence. I'm a beginner and a couple evenings last week I took the bike out for 30 min rides in the park to practice. Most people over fill the 1150's and that engine doesn't like to be over filled. 2002 R1150R, bought with 80k miles, runs like a charm, love the bike but it does use a bit of oil, about 1/2 a quart in 2k miles. No drips or leaks that I can see. Should I be concerned?

OK, that's kinda what I thought. I know some like the style, others do not. I'm just thankful that this general style seems to have a lot of interchangeable options.

I don't use a tank bag and have found the ideal riding position on the stock seat, so I think I'll just stay with it for a while and let the Sargent have a rest. If I get through the summer without wanting a change, I'll put it up for sale.

I just bought a front fender for my 2002 r1150r and it's from a 2001 bmw r1100 rt. Has anyone else done this? How do you like the look? At first, it was not what I wanted but I like it now. Anyone else have any pics?

Thanks, I do like the way it looks but what you have sounds more like what I may be looking for. Do you have any pics or can you tell me the brand?
