Ok, forgive my tire ignorance. So the lower profile 60 will be more stable, and responsive but not as cushy as the 70? Is that a bad thing? I wouldn't mind sacrificing a little of the softness for more stability in the corners. I am understanding correctly?

Sorry if this is hijacking the thread, I just have one simple question. Can you mix different brands of synthetic oil? I was running Mobil 1 in the states, but it is very expensive and hard to find during my travels in Europe. Can I use a comparable oil of a different brand?

I tried searching, but didn't find the answer. A friend accidentally bought a 120/60ZR 17 Metzeler Z6 front tire. Will this work on a 2002 R1150R? Just broke the 78,000mile mark while on some twisty's in the mountains around La Alberca, Spain. If you ever get a chance, the mountains in central Spain were meant for these bikes! (or the other way around)

Bike rental = 150E-200E per day. I'll be over there for 6 months to a year. Much cheaper to buy and ship a bike over. Plus I get to keep it/sell it when the trip is over.

Between 150-170miles and fill up at 200miles. With 1.5gallons as a 'reserve' I feel comfortable traveling well into the yellow light section.
