Spark plugs multi ground vs single ground
Quick question, having searched the boards I have not come up with an answer for this. I went to my local parts store and asked for plugs for my 2002 RR. Having checked his list, he gave me NGK BKR6E plugs. Not paying attention, I grabbed them and left. Now that I've pulled the plugs from my bike, I...

Re: Tire size other than stock
Ok, forgive my tire ignorance. So the lower profile 60 will be more stable, and responsive but not as cushy as the 70? Is that a bad thing? I wouldn't mind sacrificing a little of the softness for more stability in the corners. I am understanding correctly?

Re: Synthetic oil
Sorry if this is hijacking the thread, I just have one simple question. Can you mix different brands of synthetic oil? I was running Mobil 1 in the states, but it is very expensive and hard to find during my travels in Europe. Can I use a comparable oil of a different brand?

Tire size other than stock
I tried searching, but didn't find the answer. A friend accidentally bought a 120/60ZR 17 Metzeler Z6 front tire. Will this work on a 2002 R1150R? The manual says 120/70zr 17 but it doesnt state if other sizes will fit the rim. And I can't seem to locate it on the net. How will the riding be affecte...

Re: How many miles are on your bike?
Just broke the 78,000mile mark while on some twisty's in the mountains around La Alberca, Spain. If you ever get a chance, the mountains in central Spain were meant for these bikes! (or the other way around)

What is this?
Trying to figure out what this piece is on my RR. Its on the right side near the rear tire. It was hanging down the middle and rubbing on my rear tire, but I'm assuming thats not where its supposed to go. So I placed it in the cable tray as illustrated in the photo. What is it and what does it do? h...

Swissbiker- Nice bike. I ride the exact same bike, 1 year newer. I'm flying it into Munich in 5 weeks and heading south into Italy with it, but will be coming back north into Switzerland in the springtime. I would love to hit those passes in your pictures above. Absolutely gorgeous! If you're intere...

Just figured I would post an update. On the BMWMOA site they have listing of different companies/organizations that help out in this area. I contacted Warren from http://www.worldmotorcycletours.com and he was uper helpful. Got an extremely reasonable price and will be shipping my bike to Munich, Ge...

International Shipping
Didn't want to piggyback on the other domestic shipping thread so I figured I would start a new one. I am looking for an inexpensive way of getting my 2002 R1150R over to Europe, preferably Italy next month from NY. Have spoken with a few specialized shippers and all prices are around $2000-2500. th...

Re: Saturday morning's R is now mine!
Congrats! Sounds the same as the one I picked up last week.
Is this a kit?? I can't understand how my BMW doesn't do this. Can't tell you how many times I've honked my horn tried to disengage my left blinker.nonskid wrote: ITS GOT: self canceling signals
