Your TM should also have a couple of short sections of smaller diameter hose and two black plastic reducing couplings with it. Use the couplings to add the smaller diameter hose to the large hose and they should fit your bike. The large diameter hose fits the nipples on the airhead carberators.

After a couple attempts with carbs on the new bike I talked to Chris Hodgson at SJBMW. He recommended a pair of 45mm Mikuni HSR carbs.
