Re: To sell with or without farkles.

If priced right, I would be interested in the driver peg lowering kit. I also would be interested in the driver peg lowering kit. The footpeg brackets have been listed on E-Bay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/_Motorcycle-Parts-Accessories__Riders-Footrest-Lower-Brackets-for-BMW-R1150R_W0QQitemZ2003...

Re: Wunderlich handlebars with risers.

If you have not already bought the handlebars I will be putting a set of Wunderlich touring bars on E-Bay in the next week for $90 plus shipping. I am going to sell my 05 R1150R and buy a dual sport so I put the standard bars back on. Let me know if your interested and I can e-mail you when I post t...

Re: To sell with or without farkles.

The bike is located in Virginia. I live between Richmond and Fredericksburg off I95. The bike will most likely be for sale next week depending on how soon the dealer can get the 6K service done. Here is a picture of the bike with the side cases, hand guards and touring windscreen. http://i24.photobu...

Re: To sell with or without farkles.

I would agree, I took off the Wunderlich touring handlebars today. I kept the all the original parts so I will most likely switch out the Ohlins shocks, top luggage mount and engine guard tomorrow. If the dealer does not make me a decent offer I will try to sell the bike with the side cases and mayb...

Re: To sell with or without farkles.

I'm taking the bike to Morton's BMW next week for the 6K service and new tires. It's sad, I put over 18K on my F650GS in the first year I owned it but I have only put a little over 3K on the R1150R since I bought it in 2007. I will see what the dealer offers me for trade-in on the stock bike for a n...

To sell with or without farkles.

I really miss having a dual sport and regret selling my F650GS after buying a 2005 R1150R Rockster. I'm thinking about buying another dual sport but only have enough storage room for one bike so the Rockster has to go. The question is do I sell the bike with or without the farkles? My dealer tells m...

Re: Rockster bars on a Roadster

Could an inch or two be taken off one end of the rockster bars to shorten the width without much trouble? I do remember sitting on a rockster and thinking the width was too much for me, but I know I could get use to it. But if cutting an inch or two pre-install would work, that might make a better ...

Re: Rockster bars on a Roadster

I have an 05 Rockster with heated grips and will be changing out my bars very soon for a more relax ride as I'm getting older and after two lower back surgeries it causes to much strain on the disks during longer rides. .... Just wondering, is it your or your docotor's opinion that a more "rel...

Re: Rockster bars on a Roadster

I bought the Wunderlich touring bars and longer cables from Santa Cruz BMW. Being as it's going to rain this weekend I will remove the Rockster bars Saturday. I'll take a picture of the bars and post it here. If you want to check my E-Bay rating my user name is Cadhoper with one P. BTW; it's nice to...

The shocks are the single best thing I did to my roadster, although I used Wilbers. They were less expensive and many think they don't rest on their laurels, either way it is an easey replacement. While the tank is off loosen the cable ties as doing that could give enough play to fit the handlebars...

Anything special I need to know?

I looking at replacing a few things on the 05 Rockster and need to know if there's anything special I need to watch out for or do? You know what I mean, the little tricks or common mistakes. Any special tools I need before starting the project? Reading through the manual it all seems fairly straight...

I have not seen plastic protectors listed anywhere on their website. You might be able to get the clear 3M protective sheet and cut off what you need. My local BMW dealer carries it by the sheet. As far as drawing the guard in with a screw, the supplied screw would not have been long enough and the ...

In Virginia we have a "Driver Improvement Class". I too got my first speeding ticket in over 20 years about 3 years ago. The judge that I went before told me if I took the class that he would dismiss the ticket. I did and he did. Look into it----hopefully your state has the same. Wayne Do...

The flap is a good idea. I was thinking yesterday on how to water proof the fuse box. I was going to go to Radio Shack and see if they had a project box that might hold the fuse box and relay.

I just installed the Centech using the picture shown above and the mounting location worked out nicely. I used a piece of thick plastic and heat formed it to the angle needed. For the ignition relay I tapped off the first fuse in the fuse box to energize the relay when the key is turned on. http://i...

Wunderlich Engine Guard quality

So I ordered the Wunderlich Engine Guard so I would have a nice place to mount my PIAA lights and a nice foot rest for longer trips and the added protection. I have always had good luck with with Wunderlich products but this guard was the exception. The front guard mounts to three point and I was am...
