Re: Life Saving Add-on??

Yes I was referring to the daylight running type of light not the headlights. So it's the indicators that are on all the time if you want them with this gadget. There is a bright setting and a dimmer setting that you can choose on the move. I may take it off and try the standard relay again just to ...

Re: Life Saving Add-on??

I am pretty sure my bike did not have self cancelling indicators as there were a few instances when they were still working after an age! That is what worried me. Any more info would be appreciated for myself and other owners who may not realise this feature might be standard, and there is no mentio...

Life Saving Add-on??

Just fitted a remarkable little gadget from the USA that controls your indicators and switches them off after a set period of time. It's a Kisan Signal Minder SM-5 and it's brilliant. Having had many Hondas with self cancelling indicators ( current one is 25 years old!!) I was amazed that BMW do not...

Re: Newcomer in Suffolk UK

Welcome to the Forum. I think you have just bought my pillion seat cover on eBay!! I agree with the screen comment as fitting my Ztechnic screen has improved my comfort enormously. Find it here - http://www.customcruisers.com/Custom2005/customshop2005/contents/en-uk/p2828.html The cam tensioner chan...

Re: Newcomer in Reading, Berkshire UK.

I have noticed that and the ABS does not bother me as it's more to go wrong is it not? I have got heated grips.

It really is just the colour that I would like.

Re: Newcomer in Reading, Berkshire UK.

Thanks Ken but that would be an xpensive shipping exercise. I have in fact found a couple being sold here in the UK at the moment and have just been to view one of them. My problem now is - do I replace an absolutely mint Black/Citrus with a not so immaculate ED80? So far neither have been as low mi...

Re: Newcomer in Reading, Berkshire UK.

Nice to hear that you are so pleased with the Rockster. I have only had mine for about 6 weeks and I am very pleased with it too.

Enjoy it and have many safe and enjoyable miles on it.

I share your frustration with uploading pics to this forum. Why is it so difficult?????

Ride safe,

Brian.

Re: Instrument Pod M8 Mounting Screws

Well Fauster, I had exactly the same experience on Wednesday when I fitted my new Ztechnick screen. All went well on the nearside although the two bolts were very stiff and took a bit of effort to get out but they came eventually so I fitted the mounting brackets and that side was done. Now the offs...

Re: screens

I have just fitted a Ztechnic screen to mine today and I am very pleased with it. It was very easy to fit and it makes the ride much more comfortable.

Apparently this screen is the one that BMW used to supply as the official accessory for the Rockster.

Re: Newcomer in Reading, Berkshire UK.

I am certainly getting more fun from my Rockster than the R1200C.

Just added a Ztechnic screen today and it seems to have improved the comfort level quite a bit. Very easy to fit as well.

I can see your picture herrstedt, the link worked for me.

I am trying to work out how to upload a picture.

Re: Newcomer in Reading, Berkshire UK.

Thanks for your input Riceburner, I will check out that wiring to see how tight it is. Good advice though, thanks. The pillion replacement is just something that I like the look of, plastic or metal does not matter but thanks for pointing it out. The BMW price was well in excess of £100 so I am glad...

Newcomer in Reading, Berkshire UK.

Greetings one and all, I have just bought a 2003 Rockster in Citrus with only 11000 miles and would like to introduce myself to the Forum. I live in Reading and have been retired for some 7years now. I enjoy my motorbikes and have been riding for 54 years since my 16th. birthday. Had a few years awa...
