I balanced the TB at idle with the big brass screws and the cables off idle. It is smoother all around, but it still starts to vibrate at about 4k. I have never ridden a boxer twin before so I don't have any frame of reference.

Now that I have a few miles on it I noticed an increase in vibration starting at about 4k rpm. It is significant enough so that I don't want to ride there for any length of time. Can anybody tell me what's normal for these bikes?

I installed the upgraded tensioner today and the hardest part was getting the old plunger out, I had to customize a hemostat to reach into the opening to grab it. I should point out that I did not remove the TB, but went behind the Telelever A-arm. I used a bit of wheel bearing grease to hold the ne...

I switched to these LED's on my FZ1 and it helps if you rough up the end with some sand paper or whatnot to help diffuse the light. Be careful with the type where the LED is sitting right on the end, you can still do it, but go gently.

The person I bought it from was the perfect seller, he kept meticulous records, every maintenance item was checked off or stamped by the dealer, and he kept it spotless.

Howdy from the still frozen north
Hi all.
Just bought a 2004 Rockster last week, and true to form the weather has gone completely sour since then. This is my first BMW although I have been riding for nearly 50 years. I have been reading as a guest and have already learned a lot.
How do you include pictures?
