We use a Scala Rider Teamset. It is Bluetooth from pilot to rider, no wires. Full-duplex two-way communications, great re-chargeable battery life. Not that costly.

How about cleaning and then painting- perhaps flat black in honor of the efficiency of black body radiation... that we all know and love so well?

Now that I have your attention... what are the various strategies you use to clean those jugs? Once the bugs and road tar gets baked on how do you get it off? Are any of these components painted and thus we must be careful of strong solvents? What about mild abrasives- like 00 steel wool, or scrubby...

Anyone ever recondition the headers? Mine are a little nasty and pitted fro road dirt/sand.

What about high-temp paint- silver or black- or best to just leave it alone?

I think a factory alarm is a good idea. Shoot- if I had a BMW factory, you can be damn sure I would have a good lock on the door and big alarm too!

there is a screw very near the base of the rear shock, but I do not see any letters or markings.

The front shock has none that I can see either. Maybe I am not looking in the right place.
