Good Bye Roadster-ites
I sold the R last weekend. The 4 year lease was up this August, and buying it out was just not in the cards. I put 40K on in the first three years, and less than 3K this year. It just did not make sense to keep her. Sniff Sniff.......I am really going to miss her. She taught me so much, not just abo...

At first I was thinking.... If you need this then your throttle cable is too tight! But since soooo many of you are using this type of thing I am now thinking... What is wrong with me that I can ride 8 hours straight and never feel like I need need one of these. During a long ride the only thing hur...

give me a break
Perhaps I am not experienced enough, but I think the linked servo-assited breaks on the R are fantastic. The ABS has saved me twice. I would not want a bike that had different breaks. Maybe if I ride more I will start to dislike them, but 50,000Km says I like them just the way they are. To each his ...

Ouhhhhh
Lets see....
One, this has been around for a while now. Ask ANY director of photography that has done any work with motorcycles. It is at least 10 years old.
Two, If I see one more fat old guy on a Beemer I am going to get rid of mine.

What?
1150929 I am Canadian. I live in Ontario. I have guns. I hunt, shoot bulls eye and action pistol, and cowboy action. I am not alone! There are LOTS of guns in Canada. Yes it was a bad year for crime in Toronto. But you might not be aware that 1 Metro Police studies prove that most of the guns used i...

What are those? (pointing to the cylinders) How does the back tire stay on? That much and you did not even ge a windshield? What do you do when it rains? You can't tour on that. BMW makes bikes? Since when? And the one I will not hear again for another 8 months....."You ride in the winter, YOU ...

good dealers?
Wolf BMW in London Ontario is without peer when it comes to service.
They are the best. I have many good stories that all end with Wolf saving the day.

Tank off first time no problems
Like so many others here, my '02 R needed a new battery. I decided to go for it and armed only with the manuel and a set of torx wrenches I did it. No problems. Just followed the directions. New BMW gel battery is in and things are just fine. I should have been doing more of my own maintainance all ...
