Re: Sorry re new topic but I'm so excited.

Vodka, I don't know if you have been to the States before but if it's your first trip don't forget that things are far apart. I had some German friends come over and expect to see the whole country in a little less than a month. They arrived in New York and never got west of the Mississippi. (Mod) ...

Couldn't you just buy some 3M clear plastic stone chip guard cut to fit and glued on?

Re: 1150 Rockster or new R1200R

I have to chime in!

All the previous comments were made by the same people saying the same thing about the R1150R when they made the move up to the new and improved r1150 back in 02.
The bottom line is do you want better for more money or will you settle for great for less money!

Re: I did it!

I kind of lost it with my dealer. Last week when I decided to go ahead and get the bike the dealer said I would need a deposit ASAP to get the bike ready for last weekend. I said no problem but I wouldn't need the bike till this week anyway cause I was away on a trip! I send an email today asking if...

Re: I did it!

I spoke with the service department and they suggested we go with a 2nd outlet connected direct to the battery!
I also ordered the Vstream windscreen!
Hopefully I'll pick up the bike this week as I'm running out of riding weather.

I did it!

My wife decided I had too many toys and something had to go! I didn't put up too much of a fight because I don't seem to be able to find the time to use them! Any how the R1150R was the last thing I put for sale and it sold first! I was not a happy camper! The guy who bought was riding a Honda ST130...

Don't let all the naysayers scare you off what sounds like a good bike!
Get on ride and enjoy!

I just got back from an east coast trip and got the warning light at 200 miles!
Like clockwork but all highway miles.
I then stopped for gas and put 4 gals in!
I tried to extend it once to 220 miles and decided to get gas as I did not want to run out on the interstate!

Hi Marku

It's my understanding that you only have to pay duty of 5 or 6 % on non North American made goods!
Plus of course all of our other regular taxes!

John, Was that the red 2004 on Ebay? I was looking at that myself, but a bit far away. Seemed like a really nice bike and price. I'm curious about the bar risors installed on it. I just test rode an 04 and found that the bars could be just a tad closer for optimal comfort for me... (only 5'7''). Is...

Almost every reply here makes me want this bike even more. It wasn't until I saw this bike that made me want a motorcycle. To bad practicality took over in my mind and made me buy my Rockster. God damn logic. I hate my brain sometimes. But I love my Lobster Rockster anyways. *smileyface* Saw a used...
