Found the problem... Broken wire under tank. It was not easy to find, I had to remove the complete wire loom.

Thank you both for the info. I will attempt to trace the wire. From what I see it runs back and then meets up with a much larger wire loom. Does anyone know where the plug is? Yes I'm talking about the air box under the seat. It's black plastic is faded from the sun. It's turned into a dull light gray color now.

Has anyone painted the dull sun faded air box on their bike? If so, which pant did you use? What pre paint prep did it require? How is the paint standing up to the elements since it was painted?

I've read several threads about this problem but none have been able to solve my problem. Hopefully one of you experienced this issue and resolved it before. I have no regular running headlight.
