My system is to shift early,,,in another words make all the shifting tall. In the rain you dont want that wonderfull R torque to bring you down. Also it sounds like where shifting in the middle of a turn..mmmmmm a no no for sure! Hey you now what you learn and it made you a better rider right!

I just took the filter with me to the autostore and try into I found one thast fit...lucky I found at the first one I try, just make sure that the wall off the filter holder are thin! you know thin is in!

I think that on the R it dont matter becasue the oil does not effect the trans. I use 10w40 (mobil)on my R and motorcycle oil on others becasue of the wet trans.

if I rememeber right the manual says to put NOTHING on the bolts,,just clean them with a brush maybe! they make a point of saying to put nothing on the bolts!

at a bargan price, water proof, basicle my winter boot.... not only are the cheap and confy on the bike you can walk around and feel like your are not wearing riding boots, for me that important, I have other boots that are awesome to ride but forget the walking!
