Need help with tools
Anyone near Milford PA that can help out?
I need help with TBS, finding out why she does not like rain or shower and maybe few other things. I just do not have all the tools to follow the suggestions.
Happy to compensate.

Re: She let me down in the rain
Update: Came back few days ago. Connected my darling on charger nicely covered and protected from the elements. Tried to start her 2 days ago, would start... It coughed up once, otherwise nothing until the battery got weak again... So I started to look around for a manual to change or alter the hall...

Re: She let me down in the rain
Thank you all for your suggestions. I will start with the sidekick switch. I clearly remember running in a puddle of water that splashed pretty nicely from below. It was that channel of water on road worn by cars. That splashed pretty nicely and that was it. As of now, the battery is drained from al...

Re: She let me down in the rain
No the speedometer looked just fine. I was watching it. It sounded more like she ran out of gas which was not the case. I did some searching around and came up with nice description from cyclerob trying to revive similar wet soul some time ago. I am leaving for few days I cannot do anything right no...

I got these in chrome and they are quite comfortable to let your leg on with high boots. I do that a lot.

She let me down in the rain
Going home from Poconos last night got me... Good amount of rain. While we did this together several times, this time she caught couple of times. Then the engine stopped on the Bear Mountain. Restarted while still in motion. Completely down on Palisades PKWY on exit 15. Tried restart after some time...

Re: Fire
While the wires to the heated grips may strapped too tight and have shorted out, it would not cause a fire. Beside the point you stated that the fuse was out so it would have burned before anything else. Check your battery connections. You battery may be loose and have "danced" around unti...

How much shoudl I pay for it?
Have an opportunity to buy '04 1150r with ABS. Some damage but it looks nothing spectacular. Engine was apparently turned off immediacy after fall in the right turn (scrapped head). Considering that the engine is fine how much will it cost in parts to have it fixed? What else to look for? How much s...

Re: Starter lube?
It still sound like your battery is not strong enough. I had ones Odyseey battery gone bad (and replaced for free) in a year. Or maybe your connectors on the battery are loose or oxidized. Good cleaning is suggested. The other option is that your starter is weak and it needs to be replaced. It is fa...

Does someone have the lollipop mirrors for sale?
Alternatively has anyone tried the ones from eBay?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... 0504822088
I asked the seller he states that some drilling is required. I am a bid nervous about it.

Shell has a tinny aroma As long as it just a tiny aroma and not a grand odor..............................OOPS! You said TINNY! Not Tiny! Sorry. Actually a little anti-freeze goes well with just about any appetizer like chips and salsa, or sprinkle some on a plate full of red kidney beans for a nic...

Does anyone have lollipop mirrors for sale? Sadly a mishap broke the left completely a cracked right one. I purchased the cheap (yet good looking) mirrors from Ebay (item 260615737270). It would fit perfectly except the threaded rod they supplied is ½” short. I tried to get it somewhere without succ...

Re: Bad cold start (sound of $$$)

I recall following printed procedure listed somewhere on this board. I recall tightening the both screws as directed. Made few...

Re: Bad cold start (sound of $$$)
The bang could have been your starter solenoid shorting out...or it could be that you've knocked a couple of teeth off the circumference of the flywheel. If you push the bike forward a bit in sixth gear, rotating the flywheel, perhaps that would show which it is. THANX Tried to get sixth gear: no g...

Re: Bad cold start (sound of $$$)
Thank you for your suggestion. I tried today again and I get nothing but the sound of the spinning starter. I guess I have to take it the spinner out and see what really happen. My only hope that it’s only the starter and nothing more.
