Great Pics
DJ, I just spent 6 days in Melbourne with my daughter. Today I take the bike in for inspection and maybe THEN I'll be able to get it registered. Melbourne is absolutely lovely and you have some first class roads to ride!

5500 Miles Across America
My wife and I rode 5500 miles on our 2001 BMW K1200LTC. This video is set to Bob Segar's "Roll Me Away". We rode from Dallas, Texas to the Great Smokey Mountains to ride the famous Tail of the Dragon, stopping at the Shilo, Tennessee battleground along the way. On a separate leg, we rode t...

Second Gear
I saw DD's post on "First Gear" and I have a follow up question on Second Gear. My RR is a 2002 model and it just turned 10k miles. I acquired the bike about three months ago and I have been riding it to work every day. I figure that by now I should be able to smoothly shift from first to ...

I've been slowly turning mine to the idea. Velvet Monkey, I haven't been out in the real summer heat yet. It was over 100 deg F (38 C) yest...

Pics of my RR in Saudi
My wife and I took our bikes to breakfast this morning and decided that today was the day to take some action shots of the RR. These were taken on a street near my house in Saudi. You can tell it isn't quite summer yet because there is a bit of greenery. http://farm1.static.flickr.com/228/473417503_...

Re: Riding in a Dust Storm
Jerusalem was succumbing to a dust storm, which is supposed to be normal. NOrmal or not, it sucked to ride in. The roads were slick, my rear tire almost slid out on me at every light and you could barely see the road ahead. My tires been sliding a bit lately since I had a puncture repaired. Maybe I...

It's Here!
I’ve been a member of the RR forum since November of last year. I haven’t posted before because, well, er, I haven’t had much to say up until now; it is time for me to introduce myself. I first want to say that, as I’ve read the posts over the past five months, I have com...
