Re: Wanted R1150R handlebars
If you do not find the bars? There are aeveral after-market heated grips out there. I have Hot-Grip brand,[available at Riders Warehouse] on one of my Vulcans. Have had them 7-8 years now & they work fine. Two settings, low / high, and [are] very warm on high. Showing wear in the grip itself,but...

Re: 2011 comfort seat fits 2007 bike
A better option is to take your seat to a local custom upholstery shop. some specialize in bike seats. They will make a seat that fits you perfectly and for less than those expensive mail order seats. I know this because I have done it.

Re: Fogging face shield
I've used the Fog City Shield in the past and it works great. My helmet (Nolan) has a pinlock visor insert that works GREAT! I tried lifting the visor before I had this but I get way too cold to do that for very long.

Re: Ear plugs
Think it's more dangerous to ride without, due to the fatigue after prolonged exposure to noise. A tired rider is a poor rider. Can't remember the source now, but there's a test in a magazine somewhere that proved that there is _no_ helmet available that provides sufficient noise protection in itself...

Re: Tach Failure
Problem turned out to be a intermittent connection in 12 volt supply to tach. Trouble traced to 3 pin connector feeding voltage to igintion terminal on tach. Pulled pins from connector and scraped oxidation from pins, replaced and problem solved.

Re: Rear tire locked up while riding.
Typically it is caused by over heating. The bike gets hot, the piston siezes, the rear wheel locks up and you come to a sudden stop. You get off our bike, scratch your head, curse and wonder what the F. After a while you give it a try (it has now cooled down and the piston is free), it starts up and...

Re: super fast idle
I remember having something similar on my '01 SC2. It would sometimes have a low idle, and it would also randomly idle high. It was the throttle position sensor. I figured it out by catching it during one of its bouts of high idle. I opened the hood and jiggled the TPS and the idle went to normal. T...

Re: oil cooler stone damage?
I guess there would have to be some reduction in airflow, but doubt if it would be enough to impact cooling. However, I have 22K on my 05 RT and really have never given a screen a serious thought. I just wash the bugs out when I wash the bike.

Re: Stock seat
Hi, I bought me another Rebel seat off ebay to modify instead of my own seat. This seat has multiple foam pieces glued together in layers. All same type of foam. Do stock seats normally look like this or has someone already modified it? I don't think there is a metal plate in there at least I can't ...
