Yeah,......i know,.....but man,.....the Corban is like "real" leather and oh so classic! Mine in classic black with no welts or unnecessary stitching,......which is why i didn't want the heated seat. Extra stiching could pass more water should i get caught out in bad weather,......although...

A few obvervations from someone who has owned a 1970's era Honda CB 350, an early Suzuki GT380 3 cylinder 2 stoke, THREE 1979 Honda dual purpose XL500S single cylinder thumpers, (still have a beat up version of the XL500S that i got that way),....... ............ and currently ride a super nice 1982...

...........Of course, I later saw the rack you got and regretted selling the stock mounts. It looks like it might actually be useful! Yeah,......that's the problem,.......the rack is built really well,.......and i thought it would be mounting solidly thru the same 2 bolt holes going into the...

Thanks for the info,,......since i already have the rack (much more solid than the BMW version),......i may try to have some brackets made to fit this setup. ....and you're right,......the lines are super clean! I guess i can't complain for getting near mint City Cases and mounts for $375.00 with sh...

System Cases Mounting Bracket Question?

I bought a used set of BMW City Cases on ebay and put them on my bike about a month ago. They fit my R1150R perfectly, as do the cases. However, I ordered and recieved a Hepco & Becker rear rack part # 650.632 01 01 from http://www.eurotechmotorsports.com , intended to fit my 2004 BMW R1150R mot...

I just got a Corbin seat on 12-1-06, and specifically chose the no heat option mainly because for them to add the heat they need to stitch welts in the top of the seat. I much prefer the cleaner looks of the unpleated seat,......and i'd think it would be less prone to obsorb water if caught out in t...

Sometimes it's more of a convenience thing than actual dollars spent,.....at least for me. When a new washer is not available and you need it NOW,.......re-using the old one even if it means a quick annealing job is a nice option to have. Otherwise use the $.50 brand new one. ...............interest...

Any Reason Pics Are Gone From Archived Threads?

I must say it's been a bit frustrating in going over the maintenance and other archived threads. I haven't been thru them all,......but it seems most every one i've tried to pull up the pics on are no longer available! Uggrhh!!! Not sure why,......but it would seem to me the pics could have/should h...

Not sure the cost,.....i haven't had to buy one yet and the guy i bought the bike from gave me 3 new BMW oil filters and 4 new cruch washers. So i'm set for awhile. .........but i suspect new ones are a bit more than "penny's",......probably a buck or two each. I know i was shocked when i ...

Just Installed Barbacks, Front Brake Line Question?

The Metzler Z6 Roadtec 170/60ZR17 is what replaced the original Metzler 2004 era tire on my bike on Nov 3rd. I've put a about 300 miles on it and like it. Good grip and no complaints so far,....except for price maybe. The "raw" tire was $163.95 at Max's BMW in Troy, N.Y. , PLUS $4.79 for a...
