CENTRE STAND ISSUES

Hi Im struggling to remove the bolts on my centre stand they are very tight .Do they use locktite on the bolts ? Any ideas out there. By the way just fitted a Sena bluethooth kit to my shoei gt-air helmet its fantastic .I always used earbuds but they have been irritating my ears lately.Not cheap tho...

Do not sell change the bike to suit your body type .I put yamaha fz bars ,wilber aftermarket shocks,comfort seat, now its perfect for my body ,best bike ever .you cannot dislike the bike too much if you did 25k in 18mts. some people do that in 5 years. Just my thoughts.

Thanks for that info .cant take a photo as i sprayed it black with heat resistant paint but that is starting to come off after 2 rides
It said can stand up to 650 deg but no such luck.

Yes stainless goes brown mine is chrome. the front of the pipe is blue that's no problem .if the pipe is stainless under the chrome then it must be the chrome that is rusting . I shall have to cross reference the aftermarket ones to check. The bmw no. Are different gs ends with 03 and 04 .mine ends ...

r1200gs compatibility

Just wondering if any one knows if a r1200gs (2006)stainless headers will fit my R1200r (2009)chrome .I want to replace mine as the are rusted and i can get a stainless header of a R1200gs from someone living 1000km from me so its hard to try it out.Thanks guys

hi
you will definitely need a longer brake cable with the 2 inch risers .1 inch is ok but not 2.I used the rox with anti vibrate inserts and had to grind the nuts down under the risers as well .you are better off with the 1 inch risers.

I it was the battery after all .Strange symtoms thou .Put in a SSB lithuim battery 290cca weights only 1kg and 40% smaller .Im very impress with the way it cranks over.

Hi
I manage to fix problem by just by lifting the dustcaps ,cleaning under them and put a little grease in and the are fine no leaks for a year.
Water collects under them at times and that creates problems i now clean them out every six mts or so.

I have a left heated grip off my 07 if anyone needs it, it was changed to match the right one that replaced a failed one, the rubber is worn(47,000miles)but the heat still works. I'm thinking of upgrading to a 2011 with the newer motor .Has anyone had both bikes I want to know if it is worth the money +-$3000
