My question regarding BMW boxers has always been: have they ever considered using a 90 degree crankshaft ? This would not make a 'true' boxer engine of course but would make it more like the 90 degree twin of a Moto Guzzi. The exhaust note would be lower because of more of the fundamental harmonic. ...
