Tire Pressurr
What Tire Pressure should I use on my 2008 R1200R. The Manual indicates that the front tire should be 32 (or 36) psi and the rear 36 ( or 42) psi. My BMW mechanic and the print on the tires indicate a pressure of 40, or 42 PSI for both tires, respectively. What should I use?

Better MPG
I currently get about 45-48 MPG on my 2008 R1200R. Is there anything that can be done to improve the mileage per gallon? What about a Performance Controller? Also, my Rider's Manual states that by using 95 ROZ/RON Super fuel I can expect "reduced performance and consumption" Do they really...

manual air pump
Has anyone tried using a manual air pump ? I am looking at the Aerostich Micro Floor Drive Pump which seems to be capable of providing the required pressure and volume (?). I like the idea that it is a push down type pump and not the standard bicycle pump.

Road Repairs
I have wondered as to what tools to bring along when going on longer road trips. Probably the most important tool is the cell phone. Otherwise, perhaps just the minimum set provided under the seat. It seems to me that with such a relatively complicated machine ( I also own a Yamaha xs400gs 1980 whic...

Lowering the R1200R
I am 5'10" tall and by seat height is about 31.5". Since I feel more comfortable and safer with a lower seat I looked into ( a lower seat) and lowering the suspension. Ohlins makes lower suspension for the R1200R but at a price of about $ 1600 for both front and rear shock. I believe Wunde...

Re: Haynes repair manual
I don't get it. The book shows 04 thru 09 but the description talks about 04 thru 06. Which is correct? I have an R1200R '08 sure would like to get the right book.

Thread Repair ( stripped)
I recently stripped the threads for an 8mm bolt. I plan to fix the thread with a helicoil. Since the bolt is longer I was thinking about using two helicoils (one on top of the other). Probably one coil is sufficient, but would two be better? Also, is it possible to do this or would the bolt get stuc...
