I had the opportunity to ride 2 R1200Rs back to back first with stock with about 4K on the clock and then the R with Ohlins and almost 2k miles. WOW what a difference they smoothed out the bumps yet still provided better performance I know very subjective, but, at the time (18 mos.) prior to decidin...

I second that observation as not only do the Ohlins improve handling they offer a more compliant ride. Now I just have to sell my nearly new OEM shocks.
