Re: Getting closer to my last R1200R ride

It is a barebones Motorcycle! No flesh! High definition. I will mount the enduro wheels now when I have done the north to south ride on gravelroads, clay, water, ice, snow and some tarmac too! ;) It is never to late to do the right thing! /Rune Enjoyment http://hp2.se/lager/hp2/enjoyment.jpg Romanti...

Getting closer to my last R1200R ride

Hi! After a lot of afterthought! I trade in my 1200R against a HP2 with added motard wheels. This after 1000 km. Got a really good deal! Dont have to do the 1000 km service! I update my 1200GSA to a -07 to get rid of the servoassisted ABS! This after 10000 km. Got a really good deal! Dont have to do...

The R is made to use the RT/ST cases!

runeo, if you could only have one bike, would it be the GSA, or the R? I often wonder what we would have if limited to one bike only. If I could only have one bike, it should be a HP2 with additional exchangeable, gastank, seat, aluboxes and wheels. But I wont buy the HP2, as It is so expensi...

Hi I have done 1000 km with mine and 10000 km with my gsa. You can drive 50 km/h on sixth with passenger without problem with the gsa. For the R I tend to use fourth gear in the same situation. Everything is 500 rpm higher up in the rpm range with the R. I will cut down the screen to just a few cm o...

I've been contemplating this bike a great deal lately. For street strafing purposes, three competitors that are better endowed come to mind - the Aprilia Tuono R and the Ducati S2R for similar price, and the Yamaha FZ1 for 3 grand less. None of these bikes have shaft drive, optional ABS, nor the bu...

Re: Thanks

...but I don't like the look of the bike with a tail bag. I have a small RT bag left over from the R12RT I got rid of, but I thought the bike looked like it should say Pizza Hut on it with just that. I like to have just a tank bag for day rides. I'll keep looking. This is the one sold by BMW. I had...

Re: Tank Bag for R12R

Has anyone seen the BMW tank bag for this bike yet? Other alternatives? Thanks. Oh, I get the chills!. This tank should not have any tankbag. http://jro.se/alla/mc/r1200r_tank_small.jpg Place a bag on the holder in the back or use its ST/RT type of topbox. http://jro.se/alla/mc/r1200r_from_back.jpg...

I guess I won then. Yes you did, and I am happy with you. I will receive mine the 13th of October, but I changed from ESA to Öhlins in front and back. If I wanted ESA I should have to wait until this spring. It was a missreading by the reseller that I could have the ESA now. Really happy to mis...

Re: BMW in Gothenburg?

Kiwi60 and runeo, I'll be in Gothenburg (Gotoborg) in October. Do you know if there's a BMW dealership there? I'd love to see the new R if it arrives there before I see one in NJ. My significant other is vehemently against me purchasing a bike b/f kids are a little older, so I ride my friend's R110...
