Re: Electric Vest

Actually, I rode the 'Loop' in in the Vancouver-Hope-Lytton-Lillooet-Pemberton-Whistler and back to Vancouver direction, (anti-clockwise), which was new for me, but I now prefer it. The RR ate up the roads!

Re: Electric Vest

Yes, there was still snow on the sides of the road. I got caught in a couple of snow flurries at Duffey Lake itself! But the ride was fantastic and the weather, other than that, was perfect.

Re: Electric Vest

I just completed the 'Lillooet Loop' today. For those not in the know, the loop is one of the well known rides in southern B.C., and is popular among bikers in the metro Vancouver area. I used my vest today, during a good portion of the 670km ride and it worked perfectly. My Venture vest is thin eno...

Re: Electric Vest

Good to know Mike! I intend to get the Gerbing via the UK as it is much cheaper over there. May I ask how much you paid for yours?
Thanks

Stef:

I paid $135 CAN and consider it money well spent!

Re: Electric Vest

I forgot to mention that my new vest is a Venture. I'd never heard of them before, but I was able to get a good deal at a Victory dealer, of all places. What I really like is the fact that it has a neck warmer and 4 heat settings. BTW, I've simply wired the harness to the battery and am using it tha...

Electric Vest

I just wanted to say that I bought my very first electric vest today, and after riding in the rain, in 6-8 Celsius temperatures, I felt like a million bucks. I've been riding since 1981, and in all that time I considered electric vests to be for wimps. Well, I've gotten older and perhaps a little wi...

Re: Dedicated R1200R tank bag

I suppose while I'm at it, what is the general consensus on the bag itself? Will it keep things dry inside during a day of riding in the rain? And I noticed that inside there is a drawstring, which I guess is used to help in that regard, but what about the four 'loops' in each corner? So many questi...

Re: Dedicated R1200R tank bag

Thank you gentlemen. I will try to attach the bag to the bike using your directions. I'm sure it's easy, once you've done it.

Re: Dedicated R1200R tank bag

Thanks for the help Mark, I'll try that. I was hoping I wasn't missing some parts.

Dave:

Since I'm new to this forum, I haven't yet figured out how to post photos.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks.

Dedicated R1200R tank bag

Hello everyone. I am a new R1200R owner. I recently purchased a used 2007 model. It came with a tank bag and since it has 'R1200R' embossed on it, I would assume it's a tank bag made by BMW specifically for this bike. My only problem is, I cannot figure out how to attach the bag to the bike. The bag...
