Independence pass from Leadville to Aspen is fabulous. Almost ran over a mountain goat on that road. Aspen is a great town; spend the night. There's more wind protection than you think. Among other things, the tank is molded to give your legs a quiet pocket to ride in. With a touring windshield, it will keep enough wind off you to take the edge off. You will still feel the wind however. Your hands are very exposed. Think about getting so...

5'7", 29 inch inseam. I softened the springs up a little, by a couple of clicks, and have a low seat.
