I removed the can and installed a black tip but I was unable to turn the heat shield around due to the angle of the shield and placement of the clamp. My Dad has one on a F650CS, works for him and holds a bunch.

Only thing annoying is that there is no handle to lift the lid, something can be fabricated/added pretty easy though.

Page 240 in the Wunderlich catalog has a pair of touring bars for the R, Part-No.: 1624590

If anyone has a pair I'd like to know how you like them and a comparison between the stock bars.
