Just had the 10,000 km (6000 mile) service done. I had been using synthetic. The mechanic at the dealer told me the same thing as what drummer heard. Don't put synthetic in until the R is broken in after 20,000k (12,000 mile). They put semi synthetic in.

I ride 2 up quite often with my wife. Like John's son, my wife complained about numb bum with the stock seat. Since buying a Sargent saddle, no compaints. She's talking about getting a bike of her own now but I don't think that's because riding with me is so bad???

What's the make and model of your tank bag? I've been looking for one that's the right size to hold my camera, won't scratch my tank or erase my credit cards. Yours looks pretty good.

Just bought a Sargent saddle (front and back) which arrived last week. Only made short trips so far but will be making a longer trip with pillion this afternoon. Far more comfortable than the stock seat which was killing mine and the wifes butt. The problem with the stock seat is they seem to be hum...
