Re: Hannigan Fairing for R1200R

No offence to anyone, seriously, but that thing is FUGLY!

If you need fairings, get the RT or GT or a Honda or something, but that addition really ruines the whole look of the bike!

Again, no hard feelings...

LOVE my R1200R! 8)

Re: Walmart oil filter?

Ok, sorry if this offends anobody, but saving a couple of $$ by buying an off brand product from Wally-mart? Why? This is why the US is doing poorly - everyone is waiving American flags and pose as patriots. At the same time they want to buy cheap and screw the local mom-and-pop out of their busines...

Re: Another Edition 80 checking in

Congrstulations! I love mine too. I know for sure now as I sold my first one three years ago, and was lucky enough to find another ED80 recently! Has anyone considered removing the black stripes on the tank? I'm considering doing it because I really like the smooth silky matt white finish, but I'm a...

Re: What's the best insurance deal?

I too live in California, and I have found that AAA (the autoclub) has the best rates on both motorcycles and upscale cars.
My R1150R (-04) runs about $400/yr with very high covereage. Get a quote!

Re: Rockster (R1150R) maintenance

Yes, in California - LA area. Thanks for the advice! Unfortunately, I'm not confident enough to perform all the fluid changes myself. The oilchange would probably be ok, but I need to leave the ABS system to a professional. I got more conflicting info from a third BMW shop today - all the required w...

Rockster (R1150R) maintenance

Hello all, I just aquired a 2004 Edition 80 (my 3rd R bike). It has only 900 miles (<1500km) on the odometer after almost 5 years! The bad news is that it has been sitting for a year without any riding or even starting it. As a matter of fact it was "dead" when I attempted to start it. How...
